Happy New Year! And a Letter to Bruce

Happy New Year! I've been away for a bit, but in my head, I always compose poems. Here is one about masculinities and identities. It takes the form of a personal letter, a response to a friend.

A Letter to Bruce

Dear Bruce

,

Life is dis
jointed.

How-

ever; You can make sense of it by being whom you are.

Where-

ever; You are.

By the way,

I agree:

Not every guy
who pleasures himself
while watching
Sunday Football Games
is gay.

Sincerely yours,

Eu-
ge-
ne.

P.S.

I believe you
when you say,

"I was watching it for the cheerleaders."

The real question is if Bruce is gripping the towelrack while he spanks his monkey to football games.

This part is introspective, it is crisp and had a tone of resistance which I like.

And why dont you delete all the anonymous posts, I guess that will refrain him from indulging in this utter bullshit. Works with me all the time.

I actually wanted to comment on your poem that you left for Nora. I liked it: succinct and thought-provoking. Which actually, is what I like about Nora (the thought provoking part. Like me, Nora is rarely ever succinct, and I love her for it.)
