As a Child...

As a child...

I
used to take
Tupperware containers
filled
with
old
salads

into
the
bathroom.

I then would
pour the salads
into the toilet,
lettuce, dressing, and cheese
all mixed together

and

leave it there,

unflushed.

All the purple, peach, green,
red
and
white pieces
floated there
like some flag
to an unknown
country.

It looked as if
someone had
vomited
in
there.

I took
great
delight
in
imagining someone's discovery

of the vomitous mass.

I imagined
they would be sickened...

and that they
would empty the contents
of their stomachs
to join
what was already
in
the
toilet.

Although
I was never caught,

I now feel shame.

Thank you both for stopping by. I'm glad you like my poem, Princess. I look forward to your prose and poetry in the coming hours, days, weeks, and months.

Mr. Ali: I know that some of my acts were not wholesome, but as I say, "Balls in Flight." Here, in this poem, I reveal my emotional vulnerability for all to witness and explore with their own intelligences.
